With wonderful timing – yesterday – the first day of Snow here in Zurich, FunkyForty had the opportunity to attend the Official Press day for the Tag Heuer Stöckli Special Ski Edition.

The twinkle in their eyes is a reflection of just how excited the two men (Luc Decroix, TAG Heuer International Sales Director – right and Marc Gläser CEO of Stöckli – left) are about this brilliant collaberation between 2 well renowned Swiss companies.

120 sets of TAG Heuer Stöckli Special Edition Skis have been produced and will be sold within 30 TAG Heuer shops worldwide – the cool thing is that this includes Airport shops…love it.. go on vacation and buy your Christmas skis enroute- smile!

Personally I love the fact that it will be super easy to find the skis after a break as at 120 skis worldwide chances are super slim you pick up the wrong skis.

5 Fun Facts about Stöckli skis:

• It takes 20 days from start to finish to make a pair of skis
• Each ski has between 25 – 34 individual parts inside them
• They are 100% Swiss made
• 50’000 pairs of ski’s are produced each year
• 250 pairs of skis are dedicated to Racing

As a goodie bag we got a super cute Hat from Stöckli and a piece of Cheese. Not just any Cheese – exclusive Cheese from Jean-Claude Biver, CEO of Tag Heuer!

Every year Biver produces approx. 5 tonnes of cheese on his Swiss Alpine farm. He refuses payment for his cheese and offers it only to friends, family or people he specifically chooses stating: “I will be the master of my cheese until the last piece.”
