Hi Everyone,
Did you know that Gianni Versace was the creative director of Genny in 1973? The Genny brand was first launched in 1962 by Arnaldo and Donatella Girombelli. Today Genny has the super talented creative director Sara Cavazza Facchini.
The Spring Summer 2023 show held at the beautifully restored Fondazione Pier Lombardo in Milan on Thursday was stunning to say the least.
A beautiful and extensive collection of outfits that will bring out the femininity in any woman who wears them. With a mix of strong fluorescent and pastel shades throughout. The fabulous orange and mauve left a most lasting impression.
Trends to take away from the Genny show:
Sheer or see-through clothing is certainly a hot topic throughout Milan this Fashion Week. Note the midriff cut outs we saw new in high street dresses Summer 2022 – they will certainly be back next Summer. Pant legs in general are back to being uber long. At best with a tailored boot leg cut. If you have good legs Summer 2023 will be the time to show them with the shorter lengths prevailing across fashion houses. Fashion hack if you don’t want to show off too much leg; stick to the long slinky cuts with dramatic slits.
