FunkyForty Nominated – 5 Secret Swiss Luxury Spa Hotels for 2026

Hi Everyone,

Hello September! For me, this is the time of year when I start dreaming about wonderful hotel spas where you can relax and recharge, whatever the weather. If it’s still warm outside, all the better. If not, a beautiful indoor-outdoor spa is the perfect place to unwind and rejuvenate. A wonderful way to prepare for the colder months ahead.

Switzerland has some fabulous spa hotels with magnificent views. Among  the most famous would be the Burgenstock Resort, The Chedi, Grand Resort Bad Ragaz and Victoria Jungfrau Grand Hotel & Spa.

However, today I’m sharing five Swiss spa hotels that may not be quite as well known, yet are incredibly special in their own way and absolutely worth discovering. These are not in any particular order – smile.

FunkyForty Nominated – 5 Secret Swiss Luxury Spa Hotels for 2026

1. 7132 Hotel

7132 Hotel is an architectural wonder situated in Vals, Switzerland.

Imagine simply soaking in luscious warm water, in the middle of an architectural wonder as the stars begin to set. Let your mind wander… it’s difficult not to have a sense of spirituality overcome you in this surreal atmosphere.

2. Lenkerhof Gourmet Spa and Restaurant

Built over 350 years ago as a mineral bathhouse, this grand dame has aged like fine wine – pun intended. Offering the perfect fusion of heritage and modern luxury whilst maintaining a cosy homey feeling at the same time.

Only 2.5 hours drive from Zurich makes Lenk the perfect weekend getaway. However don’t be fooled, we could have happily stayed longer.  What really struck us was the mesmerising alpine panorama all around. Giving us the feeling of being in a live Disney-world.

3. Six Senses Crans Montana

Upon arrival at the Six Senses Crans Montana we were led to six cow bells representing six different senses; Sight, Smell, Touch, Intuition, Taste, & Sound. We had to choose one sense for our stay and then ring that bell. Each Six Senses resort has their own welcome ritual designed to fit in with local customs. Cow bells are very typical in the Swiss mountains, hence the bell ritual at Crans Montana.

There is real magic in the Six Senses Crans Montana spa experience with many wellness treatments and classes available. I had a fabulous full body massage and attended a morning yoga class whilst hubby had great fun enjoying the gym with its huge variety of exercise machines, weights, etc.

4. Deltapark Vitalresort

You’ll find the spa nestled closer to the lake, a short walk from the main Deltapark Vital Resort building. There is a huge range of medical wellness and health management services available. I recommend researching these before your arrival.

The wellness area itself is on 4 floors and over 2’000 square meters in size. Including an indoor saltwater and outdoor freshwater pool.

There are 3 themed (Asia, Swiss Chalet and Africa), duplex private spa suites. The most amazing way to spend a romantic, chilled out 2 hours with your loved one or “bestie”.

5. Hotel Belvedere Locarno

Locarno is just over a 2.5 hour drive from Zurich and the weather is often much warmer and sunnier than in Zurich. In fact a trip to Ticino often feels a lot more like travelling abroad than simply going to another part of Switzerland. So it certainly is a great place to escape to during the colder months November through to January and the Hotel Belvedere-Locarno is one of the few hotels in Locarno that remains open all year.
