No matter where you are it’s always summer somewhere on the globe. So my recommendation of 3 best luxury spa hotels for 2026 has stepped outside of Europe – adding a touch of Vietnam. There’s also a lovely resort in Mallorca and last but not least Italy.
Of course we have a ton of beautiful spa resorts in Switzerland too but don’t you also sometimes simply feel like escaping the known and trying out something new? I have especially chosen resorts that are a little different – each one has something very special about it.

No1: Tia Wellness Resort in Vietnam
It’s not just me that lists the Tia Wellness Resort in Vietnam as one of the best, it is also included in the Condé Nast Traveller Gold List 2026 prestigious 2026 global Gold List for top-tier travel experiences. And ranked #6 in the top 10 destination spa resorts in the world.
I visited last year and had the most amazing time. We had our own pool villa which was totally enclosed with natural green walls. Situated right on the beach meant we could always choose between beach and pool or spa. One of our favourite memories is having a delicious breakfast served to us at a table on the beach. We were the only guests on the beach at the time and the feeling was simply indescribably wonderful.

No 2: Gatschhof in South Tyrol, Italy
Anyone who is even remotely a nature lover simply needs to visit Gatschhof.
It is special for its transformation from a traditional estate into an exclusive, ultra-luxury wellness retreat. Each room has been exclusively designed with no costs spared. Features include raw stone walls, glass baths, special light effects and much more.
Truly unique is the renowned Arabian horse breeding farm, where the horses literally reside in their own art gallery.
The resort is connected to the famous Romantik Hotel Turm which also has an impressive private art collection of over 2’000 pieces including Picasso and Dalí.
Staying at Gatschhof you can use the very private spa facilities there as well as the adventurous spa area at the Romantik Hotel Turm.

No 3: Castell Son Claret in Mallorca
Castell Son Claret is a Leading Hotel of the World resort nestled at the foot of the UNESCO-protected La Tramontana mountains of Mallorca. A mere 30 minute drive from Palma.
Once again I had the most wonderful suite with quite a reasonably sized private outdoor pool. There is also a lovely larger hotel outdoor pool and generous indoor spa area. The suite itself was so nice I never wanted to leave. I must also say this was the case with each of the resorts nominated in todays’ article.
The food was spectacular – an experience in itself. Especially in summer when you can dine in the middle of a medieval courtyard.
What I truly loved about Castell Son Claret was that despite it being on the ever popular tourist island of Mallorca, it is so remotely tucked away that literally no one other than other hotels guests ever drive by.
