For those of you new to FunkyForty the Favourite shops page is a concept set up last year to showcase special and favourite shops of mine.
Participating stores are updated each month. A monthly summary blog post will also be published highlighting new additions and seasonal highlights of existing stores.
The FunkyForty Favourite shops page came about in an effort to support small businesses during this difficult time. Going forward this will continue to be an easy and interesting way for you to discover new creations and stores.
I’m particularly excited at the lovely new Spring items in store this month.

Beaubelle
Beaubelle is a Swiss Skin Care Brand which researches, develops and produces its skin care products in Switzerland.
I have been using their products for a couple of months now and really notice a difference.
Am about to test a few more product lines but so far the Amazing Luminance Holistic Oxygenating Cellular Cream in particular has helped my skin stay beautifully moisturised during the cold and dry winter here in Europe. It smells super Devine too.
The Doctor Perfector is fabulous for eliminating small lines – simply add to the lines on your face and massage for a few minutes – results are instant.
The Stress Manager-Swiss Rejuvenating Oil is a fabulous way to start the day. There are several ways to apply it but my favourite is to put 5 drops into the palm of my hand, then rub palms together until the oil is warm. Then inhale for 5 seconds and later pat onto face. This feels amazing!

2. Marina Anouilh
Situated in the heart of Gstaad’s central shopping street. Marina Anouilh is a concept store with a certain magic to it. Created by Marina Anouilh herself, every corner tells a new story. You walk in, see something you like, discover the story and your heart melts.

3. Golden Carrot Shoes
Loving the new sandal selection at Golden Carrot Shoes – plus the great selection of summer pants and layers perfect for the cooler weather we’ve been having.
4. Maru Design
MARU Design is a relatively new online interior design store started by Liisa and Laura:
In their one words they say:
“- sisters, mothers, professionals from consulting and marketing and deeply passionate about Estonian independent design. Nice to meet you!

5. La Tienda
So lucky to have La-Tienda just around the corner from where I live. A great place to shop for all my basics but I do love the blue dress and trouser outfit pictured above.

6. Atelier Avanzar
Atelier Avanzar remains one of my Favourite shops. New adorable pastel bags are in for Spring. I love the fact that they are made by women in Ecuador with a foundation behind helping women and sick children in need as well as a school educating women how to start their own business and make a good living for themselves.

7. Suenia Zurich
The hot tip with Summer coming up would have to be Suenia Zurich jewellery. Such a cute brand set up by two Spanish sisters. Check out the online shop here.
8. Caroline-Dechamby
Visiting Paris one Fashion Week several years ago was when first came across a selection of wonderful bags by Caroline Dechamby – a Dutch self taught artist living in the wonderful Swiss mountain area of Crans Montana. We have been friends ever since.
If you like art then having one of Caroline Dechamby’s bags is almost a must have as it quite simply is the same as having a piece of art on your arm.
9. Marcus Marienfeld
Marcus Marienfeld’s glasses that are completely handmade in Switzerland are super special. The one place you can get bespoke glasses especially designed for you!
I am so in love with my cute sunglasses – super light and the quality is truly something well above any glasses previously owned. See more information here.
10. Landolt-Arbenz
Situated right in the heart of Zurich by Paradeplatz, next to the Savoy Hotel and opposite Gucci. Landolt-Arbenz is an exclusive pen and stationary shop. Unique within the whole of Switzerland. A magical world of writing instruments, leather goods and stationary unfolds before your very eyes as you enter the store.
11. Baunat
A clever woman buys her diamonds from Baunat!
BAUNAT is a digital native online platform. Hence the usual operational costs of running a beautiful store are eliminated, and BAUNAT can sell diamonds at their true value.
Not to worry if you don’t like to buy a diamond purely online. There are a few showrooms for customers. See here for a location near you.
12. Formetta
Formetta, created by Australian born Vanessa, is truly the best collagen supplement you can buy on the market. She designed it for herself so that is almost proof enough – however read more here.
