Favourite Vacation Look and Ageless Style Linkup

Hi everyone – am so excited that summer has finally come to Europe and we even have a few wonderful sunny days scheduled ahead of us! Only 2 weeks until school vacation starts here – perfect time to start thinking about a favourite vacation look.

Coming from New Zealand which has a much longer summer than here I tend to have a bit of a split personality when it comes to my favourite summer vacation look…there’s the Kiwi style and then there’s the European favourite look.

New Zealand is fab in that anything goes as long as it’s simple and comfy – I love the fact that you can wear beach stuff in the middle of town and not look too out of place…

This is my favourite NZ vacation look – all about stripes with enough room to eat lots and long enough to cover legs that swell up in the humid heat. Needless to say that the outfit comes from one of my favourite NZ designers Trelise Cooper and her shop The CO-OP.

When it comes to summer in Europe my summer vacation look tends  to be more classic…I love wearing black in summer as it always looks chic especially when visiting places like Milan…here are a couple of pics from last weekend’s visit:

 

As black doesn’t date this is a super vintage dress of mine from Australian label Cue. Note the converse shoes remain regardless of where I am – sometimes it feels like I have managed to grow a permanent set of converse to my feet.
