Ellery on the runway – PFW Fall 2016

One of the greatest things about Fashion Week has got to be revisiting show pictures a couple of weeks later. Whilst it’s all happening with eyes glued to the camera details can be missed. Ellery is one of my favourite Australian designers so it’s particularly fun to revisit.

The Ellery Fall 2016 show was certainly interesting – taking a totally different note from their Spring/Summer show with emphasis on red taking us by surprise – you’d think we’d have been used to it after Akris but it still wasn’t expected with Ellery.

Emphasis again being placed on faux fur and the fab sleeve features we have come to love. Note the fab over the knee boots – who needs trousers when you have these!

Jackets and coats were pinched in at the waist using wide belt features -an extension of the Gothic theme we have seen throughout Fashion Weeks – could be corsets only done up at the top.DSC_0769 (1)

Flares are definitely coming back – hope you still have yours from last time they were in fashion – smile. Love the details on this suit.DSC_0727
