The Easiest Tip for Dressing Right in Hot Weather

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to these lovely hot hot Summer temperatures we’ve been having in Europe. As much as we all look forward to Summer, it often leaves us in a much bigger “dress right” dilemma than any other season.

The answer is however much easier than you can imagine. It’s simply a matter of having a few of the right key pieces in your wardrobe. Start with that basic dress that you really love and work from there. Especially now when longer lengths are in full trend it’s much easier to have that one stop dress for any occasion.

Keep reading to find out the easiest tip for dressing right in hot weather.

The Easiest Tip for Dressing Right in Hot Weather

Of course it’s not just about the dress, it’s also very closely related to what you do to the dress. Let the accessories do the talking.

Oddly enough on hot days I love wearing sneakers for casual. My feet tend to swell in the heat and sneakers prevent this from happening. Add a fun hat and matching bucket bag and you’re set for any weekend or fun adventure.

These sneakers are my latest “love”. Especially hand painted for me by Swiss / South African artist – Conor McCreedy who is opening his art cafe this Thursday in Zurich.

From Casual to Dressed Up

With a good dress the transition couldn’t be easier.

All you need is a pair of more formal heels and a lovely matching bag. Black accessories always work when you’re trying to formalise a look. That’s probably also the reason so many business people stick to permanently wearing black suits the whole year through.

In Summer I always place emphasis on dresses that are washable and easy iron. Nothing worse than feeling super hot all day and not being able to put the dress into the washing machine later!

So there you have it the Easiest Tip for Dressing Right in Hot Weather:

Have a set of formal and casual accessories. Let your casual accessories have colour, a trend note to them and be a bit fun.

For work and other formal occasions stick to more classic accessories. Black will always add a more formal note to any outfit.

  3. Wow! That’s a fabulous look for women who want to keep things unique and very special! Like the way you team this sleeveless chambray dress with different accessories, creating fabulous looks. The one with classy black pumps and chain strap leather bag and the other one that is more casual with red driver cap and cool sneakers.
