When you still remember discovering a favourite label years ago in Milan and then it finally makes it’s way into the heart of zurich – you simply have to jump for joy. Yes, you got it I’m talking about PINKO.

This week Funkyforty in collaboration with PINKO Zurich, had a little apero. A small group of women got together Thursday evening to discover the brand and hot trends for Autumn 2018.

Discovering Autumn 2018 Trends at PINKO Zurich

In this post I’ve highlighted 5 top trends for this coming season for you.

1. The Pant Suit

We’ve seen the come back of the trouser suit  in the streets of both Milan and Paris for a few fashion week season’s now. However this Autumn the trouser suit trend is at the forefront more than ever. The trick is to dare to wear a suit that’s a little different – let it make a statement for you!

Purple and red make a great team this season.

Stripes and double breasted blazers are both here to stay – I fell in love with this suit.

 

2. Winter Pink (aka Dusky Pink)

Pink has also been featuring big for several Autumn seasons now. The difference is that this year we’re moving away from baby pink and entering the world of dusky pink.

This colour seems to have been made for Maria – don’t you agree?

Hope you’ve all been holding onto your pleated skirts as this trend is on the “Stay” list.

Feeling like I’m writing a Financial report here – telling you whether to Buy, Sell or Hold stock. Only in this case it’s fashion items instead of stocks.

 

3. The Rocky Look

In accordance to my previous terminology, I’d have to say the rocky look is on the hold and buy list.

Black floral dresses teamed with boots being one look. Note the cowboy boot feature – these are making a huge comeback from the 80’s this year!

Leather jackets are big on the hot list. Be sure to keep all those sheer maxi skirts and dresses that have found their way into you wardrobe. If you don’t own one yet, now is the time to invest.

 

4. Sporty Chic and the surprising Shoe Trend

Wear a tailored blazer with your sporty leggings and you’re set for town.

On the footwear front this Autumn the bulky sneaker is at the forefront of the hot list. Gone with the dainty sneaker. Here with the big bulky sneaker that wants attention!

 

5. Bag Trends

Wider straps have been an item for awhile and are now becoming a must have for any bag.

The backpack trend is here to stay – choose a nice leather one that will take you from day to night.

If you’re an 80’s child you’ll remember the fun we had writing all over our bags to make them trendy – and here we are again – the same trend is hot on the hot list. The difference being it’s no longer hot to create your own writing. Todays trend is about buying designer bags (or shoes) with pre printed handwriting on them.
