Hi Everyone,
It was interesting to note this season, the impact the sporting world has on our every day lives. Even more so for those in Paris this year. With the Olympic Games ruling the city during the Summer months. One might think the Parisians would be glad when it’s over, instead the prestigious designer house, Christian Dior is keeping the momentum going right into Spring/Summer 2025.
Quite rightly so as the sporting world gives significance to gender equality, inclusivity, respect and acceptance of one’s own limits. These are all aspects which have been taken into account in the Dior Spring/Summer 2025 collection. Clothes have been purposefully designed for the strong active woman who needs to be able to move freely in her every day world.
It was interesting to see this new mix of sporty and formal as I visited the Dior Maison this season. Loving the new interpretation of the Amazon dress, originally created by Christian Dior himself for the Autumn-Winter 1951/2 collection. A sporty touch has been introduced to the dress with an off-the-shoulder feature and extra long belt tied at the waist.
The new bags of the season are mostly soft leather. In fact in general the over structured bag has played a much lesser role this season. It seems the move towards softer bags is one that’s here to stay for a few seasons yet.

My heart will always have a soft spot for Dior homeware – it looks like green is the colour this year!
