The Best Street Style from Beginning of Paris Fashion Week

Hi Everyone,

Despite starting with cooler temperatures than Milan, Paris Fashion Week is still all about colour. Tying in totally with what we see in the high street shops for Autumn. The all black is on the back burner! You can still wear it but always pep it up with a colour. Be it red shoes or some colourful stitching. Up to you as long as there is that splash of colour to be seen.

Red, orange and yellow/mustard are definite trend tones. Skirt and dress lengths are maxi. Although we’re back to that trend of occasionally mistaking a long sweater for a dress… Tartan and leopard print remain the top two on the pattern list. Definite staples for every wardrobe this season! White boots are becoming longer. No more necessary to succumb to the white short bootie look. Now you can choose between these and the longer version. The one shoe “must have” is the black stocking ankle boot.  Not to mention the ugly sneaker. If you don’t already have a pair now’s the time to invest. The trend, (revival from the 80’s) is bound to keep going for a few seasons yet.

Keep your baker boy hats from last season. Now’s the time to get a whole collection of them in various colours and patterns – especially tartan! Skinny trousers end at the ankle and wide ones are cleaning the streets. Anything goes when it comes to jeans.

I’m still missing Gucci on the streets – is it just me?

  1. I love the diversity in those colours and fashion very interesting and I love especially those beautiful white Boots they somehow match easily with any kind of clothing so nice

  2. It must be so wonderful to have this bird’s eye view Yvonne ! Such a great collaboration of photos and style ! Love your outfit here too 🌟

  3. Well…. thank you for the last three posts. I am up to date now. Hmmm… what to say? I am also yearning for a more fitted silhouette after all those wide tops. Although the wide tops covered a multitude of “sins”.
Midi or maxi eh? Yikes. Not really my thing. White boots? Soooo me, I have always had white boots, always been a fan. Money is gone though. Rats. Colour? Yes please. Ugly sneaker? No thank you and there are enough alternatives.
What you and your pictures made painstakingly clear, is that I chose the wrong sunglasses this summer. They are Dior, but round. So out of style. I could have chosen the Prada (smaller, with a straight white line at the top). Would have been so much more on trend. I can kick myself.
