Hi Everyone, as you know once again itβs the first Tuesday of the month so welcome toΒ Β the JanuaryΒ Ageless Style theme:Β Baby it’s Cold Outside.
Nine ladies, showcase their version of this theme in their ageless style. Itβs always excitingΒ to see what each of them come up with. We never share photos beforehand so itβs a complete surprise to us all β I love the fact that we all come up with something so different and end up inspiring each other in new fashion directions.

Sitting in the midst of summer in NZ right now this post is a real challenge but I knew it was coming up so am well prepared – smile.
Baby it’s Cold Outside
What’s the first thing we reach for when it’s cold outside? You got it a nice winter coat – so this post is toΒ inspire you all regarding how to style your winter coat.
Gone are the days of one coat sufficing for a whole winter season. Today it’s almost imperative to own more than one coat, preferably in different colours.
3 Coats Everyone Needs in their Wardrobe:
1. A Black Coat – perfect when wearing dresses or skirts with black tights.
Shop Now:
2. A Grey or Camel Coat – these neutral colours are perfect for those days youΒ really don’t want to be all black.
Shop Now:
3. A Coloured or Patterned Coat – essential for those days where you need cheering up for whatever reason, or even simply to break the monotony of your regular dark winter wardrobe.

Do you already own the above 3 types of coats? Did you like any of those selected under the shop now sections?

I have quite a few coats in various colours, but I’m wearing my black one a lot lately. I really want to invest in a good quality camel coat at some point. The pink faux fur one in the last shop now section is fun π

Hi Emma,
I agree with you about the pink faux fur one too – am also thinking about it;-)
Happy New Year, Hope 2017 is great for you.

You too Laurie – have you moved somewhere warm to make you miss heavy coats?
xx Yvonne
That pink coat is everything!!!
I had a yellow coat with a faux fur collar that my daughter “borrowed”. Like 6 years ago. I’ve finally accepted that I won’t get it back. LOL
Haha yes, I can relate to the story with your daughter…mine is on the constant lookout to poach items of clothing from me….
I love your black coat with awesome detail btw!
xx Yvonne
Can you believe that I don’t have a black coat? I do have a shorter one with 3/4 sleeves, but none that are longer. I love yours, it is so sharp looking! But I also love the gray and the pink as well…great choices!

You own GREAT coats! I just love the pink one!
Enjoy your time in New Zealand!!
Oh how I LOVE a pink coat!! I am always drawn to coats but so rarely need one. Love these choices.
I loved how you showcased different colors for different occasions or looks, thumbs up!!! I love your precious pink coat; it is such a nice site to see among a sea of grey & black during the winter months! I try to steer away from black knowing there are so many other fun, vibrant festive colors in outerwear these days. I also love the pink faux fur you featured from Net-a-porter; too cute! Greg blog post & thanks for sharing so many fun ideas!!! xxx Diane
