Hi Everyone,
It’s not every day you meet someone that has been passionate about what they do for over 35 years. A man with both a passion and vision that is finally realised! That is exactly what the new Loy Fan restaurant and Mangomoon sky bar at the Panorama Resort and Spa are all about.
Family Ruegg have been visiting Thailand for many years. Each time adding a little more Thai influence into the Panorama Resort and Spa. Nestled in Feusisberg, a 30 minute drive from centre Zurich. The new restaurant and bar really do make you feel like you are in central Asia. The perfect place to escape the current grey skies and super cold weather.

Awesome New Thai Experience – Panorama Resort and Spa
First things first… above you see the 180° view we had from our lovely Asian Junior suite.
Once unpacked it was time for a drink at the new Mangomoon bar. The minute we stepped out of the lift we were already awestruck by the beautiful structure in front of us.
The whole bar had this wonderful purple theme to it…
of course we loved the champagne wall!
After a relaxing drink, some chit chat, it was then time to venture into the restaurant. Quite obviously no expense has been spared to make sure the entire area has the most luxurious Asian/ Thai feel to it.
Then it was time to choose what to eat. We decided to take one of the 4 course menus each. Very fairly priced and certainly worth the experience!
The two starters:
Main courses – I loved the rice variation:
…and then dessert. We loved the signature flambé dish!
Pictured above is Chef Pich Tongurai. Carefully selected by Chef Tammasak Chootong – one of the most renowned chefs in Thailand. Having learnt his profession in Stuttgart, later returning to Thailand to work in several luxury hotels. In 2010 he opened his own restaurant “Suay” and soon after opened his own cooking school “Positive Kitchen”. He is responsible for the wonderful Thai restaurant concept right here in the Loy Fah restaurant.
The next morning before heading back home to Zurich we decided to enjoy a little of the superb wellness area with wonderful gym and pool areas.
This is the perfect easy way to escape into a new world without having to travel too far. Romantic weekend or simply a wellness night away from reality… you choose!
