Hi Everyone,
Recently on a trip into Zurich city I stumbled across the most interesting jewellery store – Tornaghi. Stepping inside, I met the owner and jewellery designer himself, Andrea Tornaghi. He explained to me that the business was originally founded by his mother, who sadly passed away three years ago. Today, Andrea and his father continue the business in her legacy – a legacy that now spans over 40 years.

Andrea Tornaghi – the Italian Jeweller to Discover in Zurich, with Pieces Crafted in Valenza
First Impressions:
What struck me immediately was the atmosphere inside the boutique – based down Post Strasse, between Sprüngli and the Fraumünster church in Zurich. It wasn’t the typical “Swiss jewellery store” feel. Instead, it carried a distinct sense of Italian elegance – warm, refined, and quietly luxurious. Andrea himself embodies this perfectly: passionate, precise, and deeply connected to the craft.
True Italian craftsmanship:
As we spoke, he shared something that made the whole story even more fascinating. While he is based in Monza, the jewellery itself is largely crafted in Valenza – one of Italy’s most prestigious jewellery‑making regions. Valenza is famous for its master goldsmiths and generations of artisans who create pieces entirely by hand. It’s the birthplace of some of Italy’s finest jewellery, and Tornaghi is part of that tradition.
Andrea showed me several pieces, each one more breathtaking than the last. Exceptional diamonds, beautifully set stones, and designs that balance Italian emotion with technical precision. These are not mass‑produced pieces. They are bespoke creations, made for clients who appreciate craftsmanship, heritage, and the quiet confidence of true luxury.
What I loved most was Andrea’s approach. He doesn’t try to impress with flashy branding or oversized logos. Instead, he focuses on the story behind each piece – the stone, the design, the artisan who crafted it. It’s jewellery with soul, created for people who value authenticity over trends.
When asking where he gets his inspiration from Andrea told me that when he has time he will sit on a bench and simply stay those who pass by. Seeing how they wear their jewellery – do you know which finger it’s currently fashionable to wear rings on? You’ll have to go into the store and ask Andrea for the answer – smile.
Conclusion:
If you’re in Zurich and looking for something truly special – whether it’s a bespoke engagement ring, a unique piece to mark a milestone, or simply the joy of discovering a hidden gem – Tornaghi is absolutely worth a visit. It’s a beautiful blend of Italian craftsmanship, family legacy, and Zurich discretion. I also love the fact that you will find something for almost any jewellery budget as well as the most fantastic 9carat plus diamonds – it is all put to you!
I left the store feeling inspired, reminded once again that the most interesting luxury is often found off the beaten path.
