Hi Everyone,
This is a throwback account of Mother’s Day brunch at the Kameha Grand Zurich hotel. An experience which the whole family really enjoyed. Starting with yoga, then an awesome buffet followed by a tour of the hotel including a couple of the delightful themed suites. I had been at the hotel before for the Fashion Hotel opening nite. However had not noticed any of the details and what the hotel is really all about.
Keep reading for a picture lead account of the brunch and hotel tour.
A Fun Filled Brunch at Kameha Grand Zurich
Yoga
Starting with Yoga before brunch saved the day for me as the rest of my family are not morning birds – smile!
However as you see we all survived the lovely yoga session with Nayla Demir. After one hour we all felt wonderfully grounded and ready for the yum brunch that was waiting for us downstairs. The room where the yoga was held had a wonderful calming charm to it. With a glass covered fireplace right in the middle of the room and huge windows along one side.
In fact I was so sold on the yoga lesson that this wasn’t the last time Nayla will see me. In case you’re interested in yoga lessons check out her site here.
Brunch
We were so impressed with the amazing selection of food at brunch. Starting with freshly squeezed orange juice and as much champagne as our hearts desired…
Followed by the largest muesli selection I have ever seen…
Then plenty of cold meat dishes, egg varieties, as well as sushi and dim sims for those Asian food lovers.
This was all considered as “Starters”. The main courses came a la carte. We were already too full to have a main course as well, besides we had to leave room for desert.
Hotel Tour/ Suites
Kameha Grand Zurich has many hidden Swiss features. It’s almost worth visiting to simply see if you can spot them all.
Love the huge cow bells in the entrance.
The bar has enlarged Swiss coins on the wall (see right of photo). The doors to the restaurant replicate a Swiss chocolate bar. Perfect for a chocaholic like me – smile.
The real hidden gem of the hotel are the 11 themed suites. Of the suites we saw my favourite was the Fair Play suite:
Who wants a game of table football?
Or you could practice basketball in the bathroom.
Alternatively the Poker Face Suite may be more your style:
I’m getting the cards ready for you!
