Hi Everyone!
Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2017 is in full force right now and I am turning green as I hear of a friends daughter who is currently in New York helping Victoria Beckham…oh to be 22 again!!!
However Fashion Weeks can be fun at any age and right now – in the midst of preparing for Milan and Paris (so exciting) have decided it’s a perfect time to share a typical mad day during Fall 2016 Fashion Week – at the same time giving you a great preview of what’s hot this coming Fall/Winter!
One day 7 shows:
First show 9:30am Alberto Zambelli – at one of my favourite locations the Palazzo dell’Arengario by Piazza Duomo.
You’ll see themes of film characters, longer lengths and faux fur prevailing the show…
After this it was back to hotel to check in properly, sort out timetable properly.
Next show 12:00 Laura Biaglotti, held in the most awesome building the show itself having a huge Japanese theme to it..
Laura is Italian, she initially wanted to become an archeologist but then found herself helping in her parents’ dressmaking business and that was that!
Oops…next show already started 12:45, Stella Jean ( a real favourite of mine)…rushing to shuttle bus and scampering into next show as fast as possible…
See here for the full post previously covering the Stella Jean Fall 2016 collection and show.
Time for a little lunch at Camera della Moda and of course a look through the Fashion Hub Market collection – a project supporting emerging brands. Just spotted the make-up bar too so decided to get a quick make over.
16:00 next shows Carlos Gil and Miguel Vieira by Portugal Fashion…loved these shows with some really fabulous ready to wear collections… had to wait a long time for the shows to start so was super happy about the prosecco and canapes floating past – smile – photos still in focus!
Carlos Gil:
Really adore this outfit…
Miguel Vieira:
Loving the clean lines…
Oh and those furry shoes – you don’t believe me but chances are in a few years you’ll own a similar pair!
Anyone who has seen me with my camera knows it’s really heavy so you can just imagine what the arms are feeling like right about now – but adrenalin is a wonderful thing and I LOVE these shows!!!
Next show 18:00 Au Jour Le Jour a somewhat funky young brand…
After this it was a long trek right across Milan to another fashion apero and a quick look through the White showrooms…
20:30pm I promise myself this will be the last show I go to for the day as I stumble through the streets of Milan in the dark trying to find Palazzo del Senato… and then what a show it was – Mario Dice – the perfect finale for the day!
Back to the hotel room…a touch of social media uploading…down to the restaurant trying to order dinner – then realising I was too tired to eat (it’s midnight by now). Tomorrow is another day!
Over 1’200 photos taken and more than 15 kms trekked during one day!
Stay tuned for live updates from Milan Spring/Summer 2017 next week…
