Truth be known the capsule wardrobe is one that I personally struggle with. Mostly due to the fact that I like to create a new look almost every time I walk out the door. Even if it  means simply teaming a dress with different accessories.

However having a new capsule set of pieces per season to combine with the rest of my existing wardrobe is a concept I do live by. Each season it’s a matter of doing pre-research to identify the new trends coming up. Then deciding which of these trends I’m actually going to incorporate in my own wardrobe. From there it becomes easy to identify the pieces missing and those pieces I already have for the season.

1. Wide Legged Jeans

Long wide legged jeans are pretty much one of Fall 2022’s hottest items. Have a pair in your wardrobe and you are pretty much set for the season!

I love these as they are made of a thin denim yet super dark in colour and simply fall nicely.

 

2. Double Breasted Oversized Blazer

The double breasted oversized blazer is a carry-over trend from last Fall so you may already have one in your wardrobe. If not, now is certainly the time to invest.

Once again I’ve fallen in love with this one because of the softness of the fabric. Something to be cautious about when it comes to oversized double breasted blazers. If the fabric is too stiff it can make anyone look very boxy and take away a lot of feminine charm.

 

3. Colourful Semi Fitted Blazer

I can not emphasise enough that the blazer has returned! After over 2 years of resorting to comfy leisure wear the tables are now turning. Fashion trends have moved away from slouch to chic this season. Time to get out heels and blazers!

This blazer has a little stretch, making it just as comfy as a cardigan but much more stylish.

 

4. Oversized Statement Shirt

Certainly a fun piece for every wardrobe. Be careful to choose one that has a nice finish at the bottom. A little longer at the back is always a good idea. Once again choose softer fabrics so the shirt falls nicely. A pretty pattern will add more statement to the outfit.

Be sure that the front of your oversized shirt does not come down to the knees. As this will simply make you look much shorter than you are.

 

5. Colourful Short Turtle Neck Sweater

Always handy to have a colourful short turtle neck sweater handy for cooler days. They look great teamed over longer shirts. Choose a colour that goes with but is not the same as most of the other pieces in your wardrobe.

6. Knee Length Fall Coat

My definition of a Fall coat is one that is light weight and unlined. These are ever so thankful to have in any wardrobe. Also becoming a magical goto item in warmer Winters.

I like to choose a lighter colour for my Fall coat so that it doesn’t feel like Winter all too soon.

 

7. Skinny black pants

Skinny black pants already featuring in the outfits 4-6. Sometimes I even go for thick good quality leggings instead of skinny pants. In any case a pair of skinny black pants is not to be missing in any woman’s Fall wardrobe ever!

 

8. Feminine Skirt

A pretty feminine skirt is one that you will always find in my wardrobe. Sometimes teamed up elegant like here. Other times simply teamed with a sweater like the one in number 5 above.

 

9. Floaty Plain White Blouse

A floaty white blouse is the best tip I could ever give you. As certain as I am that you already have a white blouse in your wardrobe, is it floaty like this one? Believe me it is the one thing that can be worn with anything and will always make you look stylish!
