Fall is one of the most fun seasons for dressing in. You can layer to your hearts content and still leave coats open so that the rest of your outfit shines. So much fun to play with what you have in the wardrobe. Use Summer pieces teamed with Winter. Play with colour and different pattern mixes.

For me Fall is the season I like to create new outfits using pieces in my wardrobe that haven’t been worn in awhile. Simply adding one or two new items the number of new upbeat outfits can be surprising.  It’s a fun game to try in case you’re feeling creative – smile.

1. Adding a touch of pattern to a colour block outfit

Adding a touch of pattern to a colour block outfit can make all the difference. Especially if the outfit is largely made out of neutral tones. If I would be wearing another neutral toned blouse instead of this patterned one there would be the risk of looking somewhat washed out.

The patterned shirt makes the whole outfit pop that little bit more.

2. Add a pop of colour with shoes

Add a pop of colour to your outfit with shoes – in particular green, pink or orange for Fall 2022.

 

3. Choose a coat with a feature

Out with the all too classic. Choose your 2022 coat with a feature. The coat above wins on two fronts – the lovely rounded bottom bits and oversized pockets.

4. Keep wearing silky dresses by adding oversized knitted scarves

Adding an a-frame sleeveless puffer to your wardrobe has to be one of the hottest layering tips for Fall 2022. The a-frame shape looks fabulous worn over skinny trousers or leggings.

6. Tone in tone cosy knits

Cosy knits are an absolute must have this Fall – especially with rising energy prices. The trick is to have a collection ready that are somewhat tone in tone. Wear one conventionally, wrap another around your neck as a scarf and then complete your layering with a long chunky knit.

Sticking to tone in tone knitwear makes it much easier to wear several pieces at once.

7. Go for light-weight warmth
