5 Non-Surgical Ways to Reverse Signs of Ageing Around the Eyes

Hi Everyone,

Did you know that the skin around your eyes only has 1/9th the thickness of the rest of your skin. The skin around your eyes is also usually the first place people show signs of ageing. With puffy eyes, fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes.

The good news is that there are special types of anti-ageing serums and moisturisers as well as natural remedies that help fight early signs of damage. Preventing more and even reversing the signs of some of the damage done.

It’s not just the skin under the eyes that needs to be looked after however. Until recently the skin on my eyelid kept getting inflamed. Resulting in several eye doctor visits which only gave me treatment to medically cleanse the eye. Needless to say the problem persisted. It wasn’t until I finally invested in some Beaubelle eye cream which I also applied to the skin on the eyelid that this problem finally went away.

Keep reading to find out more about “5 Non-Surgical Ways to Reverse Signs of Ageing Around the Eyes”.

5 Non-Surgical Ways to Reverse Signs of Ageing Around the Eyes

  1. Daily Moisturise and Treat

The skin around your eyes is also usually the first place people show signs of ageing. With puffy eyes, fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes.

As with everything it is what we do on a daily basis that will have the greatest impact. Even  simply taking a minute to moisturise and treat your eyes each day.

My personal routine for the past month now has been using the Beaubelle Essential Eye Concentrate and Beaubelle Eye lift cream in the morning and at night. Just one drop of each rubbed on the finger tip and then massaged gently around the eye including the eyelid has made a visible difference to the deep creases and stopped my eyelid skin from getting inflamed.

Why these work so well:

Essential Eye Concentrate contains:
Horse Chestnut Seed Extract
To promote and increase blood circulation by enabling blood to flow unrestricted—resulting in a visible reduction of dark circles and puffiness.

Calendula Officinalis Extract
Helps to restores the skin and minimises inflammation and free radical damage by eliminating pigment deposits and brightening the undereye area.

Eye Lift Cream contains:

Acacia Gum
To tighten the skin around the eye area. The area is instantly lifted, revealing a dramatic improvement of wrinkles and crow’s feet.

Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7
Formulated to inhibit the production of chemical messengers that cause inflammation, it prevents wrinkles, sagging, loss of contours, and uneven skin tone.

2. Drink Water

Drinking water is one of the most important things you can do for your body.  Drinking water can help to  improve blood circulation – one of the root causes of puffy eyes.

In addition try both reducing your salt intake and increasing your water intake. Like this you can reduce your water retention and bring down the puffiness at the same time.

Adults are recommended to drink at least 2 litres of water each day. I start each morning with a cup of boiled water before anything else, (brought lovingly to me by hubby each morning – smile).

3. Get Sleep

One of the simplest, yet sometimes hardest lifestyle changes to make to prevent more signs of ageing is getting into a consistent sleep schedule. Be kind to yourself before going to bed – have a nice cleansing or meditation ritual. You might like to put some scent in your room to help you fall asleep better. Or try my easy bed time yoga poses – see here.

A consistent sleep schedule is vital because hormones and biorhythms in your body are released during different stages of your sleep, and by changing your sleep often, your body will become confused on when to release these. This, in turn, disrupts the biological process, leading to inflammatory substances in the blood, the ones that can damage the skin and result in premature ageing.

This doesn’t mean you have to stop having fun or going out late in weekends – what really counts is what you do most of the time. It is just as important to remember to have fun in life too.

4. Stimulate new cell growth and build collagen.

In addition to my daily routine I have started a special treatment of the Beaubelle Anti-Fatigue Eye Contour Gel. A pearlised gel that soothe and diminishes the signs of early ageing. This is such a powerful mixture I save it for nights and those mornings where I feel particularly tired.

Why this is so effective:

It is comprised of a  Beaubelle-exclusive compound of Centella Asiatica extracts with avocado oil, Bisabolol and oryzanol – strengthening the skin’s DNA, soothing inflammation, stimulating new cell growth, building collagen and improving circulation.

I can only reiterate from experience. I was seriously having inflammation issues all around my eye skin and since using these Beaubelle Eye care products everything has cleared up and I noticed a real reduction in fine lines around the eyes.

Collagen is also vital as we grow older we need some sort of collagen supplement as we are no longer able to reproduce what we need. More information about this here.

5. Protect

We all know about the importance of using a sunscreen to prevent signs of ageing on the skin. However many of us overlook the eye area. It is super important to use sunscreen (carefully) around the eye area to prevent unnecessary damage to the skin.

I can recommend the Beaubelle Holistic Solar Defence Fluid

You can also protect your skin with these special foods:

  • Vitamin-C personally I take a vitamin-c supplement each day and am convinced it is a great help to the immune system as well as helping with anti-ageing.
  • Lean proteins, like those found in eggs, help build collagen to prevent sagging.
  • Selenium rich foods like whole-grain barley help fight against damage from UVA/UVB rays.
  • Salmon has a variety of anti-aging factors including omega-3 fatty acids that reduce inflammation, reducing breakouts, and astaxanthin, which can help give your skin a youthful appearance.

By simply changing some small habits in your life, you can make a real impact towards making your skin look more youthful and vibrant once again!
