How to Style a Comfy Shopping Outfit: Ageless Style Linkup

Hi Everyone, as you know once again it’s the first Tuesday of the month so welcome to  the November Ageless Style theme:  How to style a comfy shopping outfit!

Nine ladies, showcase their version of this theme in their ageless style. It’s always exciting to see what each of them come up with. We never share photos beforehand so it’s a complete surprise to us all – I love the fact that we all come up with something so different and end up inspiring each other in new fashion directions.

I don’t know about you but when it comes to weekends – which is when I do most of my shopping – I have so many other things on my mind that there’s not much room to think about what i’m going to wear.

Here a few pictures of one of my favourite shopping looks followed by 5 tips for creating your own great shopping outfit.

5 simple tricks to pulling together the perfect, stylish yet comfy shopping outfit:

1. Comfy Shoes

How would you be able to walk very far without them? I find myself “still” wearing my white high top sneakers – so super comfy and they simply go with everything. Mine are from Nude of Scandinavia.

2. Skinny Trousers

Trousers are just so much easier than anything else when trying on clothing. They also eliminate the hassle of having to locate appropriate tights in your drawer. Skinny trousers have the added advantage of looking good with almost any top. Leather (or faux leather) skinnies are particularly in trend right now.

3. Layers

Every Fall/Winter shopping outfit has to be around layers – going right down to the basic t-shirt in case a shop gets really hot. I tend to start with a summer t-shirt, then soft cardigan followed by Jacket for warmth. It’s a fun way of wearing summer items a little longer and still being prepared for every temperature.

4. Scarf

Honestly – who has time to worry about how to arrange these? Go for a one piece that can simply be popped over your head – voila!

5. Bag

Should be stylish, light but large enough to store little items or things you want to keep secret in case you are meeting another family member and have bought a present for them – smile.
