It’s no secret that yellow is one of my favourite colours for the Autumn months. It simply tones in so well with the seasonal leaves. So you can imagine how excited I was to discover this pretty floaty yellow skirt just waiting for me in Golden Carrot Shoes and More.

4 Ways to Style 1 Skirt Completely Differently

1. Worn as a skirt suit

The skirt suit is one of this seasons hottest trends. The trick is to add interest to your suit and stay away from the all too traditional pencil skirt and single breasted jacket in navy blue.

Instead stick to floaty fabrics and team with slightly oversized or double breasted jackets.

 

 

2. Combined with a matching knit and camel coat

A camel coat has to be a must have in any wardrobe – it’s like having a trench coat. Not to forget the fact that a camel coat simply goes with every outfit.

Knits, monochrome and cosyness are also hot themes this Autumn and this look has them all in one!

 

3. Purple oversized sleeveless knit for a pop of colour

Purple and yellow is such a fun colour combination. Just wearing it will be enough to pop a smile on your face.

You do have to be careful when styling these wonderful oversized knits though. Always make sure to tuck them in somewhere to give your outfit a little shape. Do something fun to the outfit too like wearing matching gloves or hat to make the outfit appear more purposefully put together.

 

4. Teamed with a cropped navy cardigan

The nice thing about having a cropped knit is that you don’t have to worry about tucking it in. The proportions work well enough for it to be simply worn leisurely with your floaty skirt.

There’s always an air of sophistication with navy blue – love the scarf with this outfit too. It seems to add that little bit of essential fun.
