3 Essential Pre Autumn Wardrobe Tips

Yes you are right we are right in the middle of Summer so why should we be giving Autumn even a hint of thought? It’s that sense of denial, if we forget it for now perhaps it won’t happen. However if anything is certain it is that Autumn and then Winter are on their way.

Remember from years past the seasons don’t change slowly. Often the cold front hits us quite suddenly just when we least expect it. Those are the days we walk out of the house feeling totally “dressed wrong”. This post gives 3 essential pre Autumn wardrobe tips. Your  “what to wear dilemma” after a sudden cold front will be cured. You might even find yourself looking forward to the new season rather than dreading it!

 

3 Essential Pre Autumn Wardrobe Tips

1. Research / Revisit

Possibly the most important step of all. Go back to Winter 2018 Fashion shows and street style looks.

2. Create your personal look-book

After completing step 1. Create 3 completely new outfit looks in your mind that you would like for Autumn 2018.

Go through your wardrobe and see which pieces you already have and make a note of that which is missing. Whilst the outfit should be one you haven’t worn before, chances are high that you can either create the look with what you have or you have a part of the look already.

3. Shopping right

Only once you’ve completed steps 1 and 2 above do you go out and shop.

However NOW is the time to shop at least one outfit for Autumn. Or at least buy one piece to wear as soon as the weather turns. This way you have something to look forward to even on a dreary weather day plus you’ll always know what to wear!

Each piece you buy using this method should be an investment. Buy little but very good quality items that will last through the years. Fashion comes and goes but it is always possible to wear your favourite pieces in new and exciting ways.

One of my personal looks for this Autumn is matching purple with black. The whole outfit is Luisa Cerano bought at PKZ Women.

A German label –  LUISA CERANO is celebrating their 20th anniversary this year. For a few seasons now I’ve found myself buying at least one piece from this lovely label. I love the quality of the fabrics used and the attention to quality workmanship.

In addition to the purple and black outfit I am wearing key trends for Autumn 2018 are camel and tweed mixed with unusual pastel colours such as mint.
