Yellow is one of those tricky colours. It doesn’t suit everyone, or rather some shades of yellow don’t suit every complexion. Teamed with black, one can run the risk of looking like a bumble bee and yet obviously the fashionistas of 2026 have decided that yellow is truly the must have colour of the season.
Despite it being a tricky colour, it is still a colour that everyone of any complexion can pull off well. It’s a refreshing colour for Spring/Summer and one which I encourage you all to include into your wardrobe.
There are just a few simple tricks to take into consideration. If yellow really doesn’t suit your colouring, no problem – simply stick to wearing it as a skirt or pants teamed with a colour that truly does suit you closer to your face. As we see demonstrated in the following pictures, yellow and black can look fabulous teamed together. In fact it is one of this years officially hot combinations. The trick here is to make sure you stick to a very pale yellow when teaming with black. If this still makes you nervous go for a lovely charcoal grey instead of black.
As far as styling is concerned – 2026 anything goes as long as You feel good wearing it!
