Talking about my most timeless Summer dress made me sit back and think about why I would actually consider this or any dress to be timeless. Soon the answer became clear.

Fashion and what is fashionable or not has become very vague as time goes by. Trends come and go but fashion or rather being fashionable remains the same. It goes hand in hand with being stylish.

There are a number of reasons why I consider this dress to be timeless. Firstly it is white. One can seriously never have too many white dresses – they are fabulous every Summer.

Secondly the dotted pattern. Dots will never go out of Fashion. They might not be on top of the trend list some seasons but they are never considered to be out of fashion.

Thirdly the button down front. Honestly any dress with a button down front is a keeper. There are so many ways you can wear them – closed, half open with shorts underneath, fully open as a sort of Summer coat… the list goes on.

This dress is another of mine from a favourite Italian label Mille Milano – completely made in Milan.

The Hot Summers Day Style

There’s nothing like a breezy Summer dress on those hot sticky Summer days. I love to team my dresses up with simple slides and a shopper when going to town.

The shopper wins over a cross body bag on hot days as it doesn’t cling to you. It also saves the necessity for carrying lots of different bags in case I find something nice in town – smile!

 

Styling with an Italian Touch

Like the dress, the hat is also from Mille Milano. Almost anything in the Mille Milano collection gets teamed up with Baker Boy hats. I like the fun touch the hat adds to any outfit. You could of course also try a cowboy hat instead if you preferred.

Boots and dresses are also a fun addition – many people won’t do it but it is a great way to give a dress a whole new look.
