This year is seeing the return of the jean as a true fashion statement. It would also be safe to say that the skinny jean is currently not really on the trend list. If you want to go for the skinny leg look it’s time to head for good quality leggings instead of those skinny jeans.
Having said that, wide jeans are absolutely the way to go. There are so many cuts to choose from. Starting with high waist classic wide leg to mid rise, those with a slight distressed look (emphasis on slight here – the full blown distressed look is over), boot cut and more.
Length is also another focus point – who cares if your jeans clean the streets. This year that is called “the look”.
The 17 style ideas that follow were all spotted and taken by me during the Sept/Oct’24 Milan and Paris Fashion weeks. On that note, it’s only just over one week until Milan Fashion Week starts. Can’t wait! Do let me know if you’re going to be there too.

- Going casual yet chic at the same time with simple white tee and oversized shirt on top.
2. Teamed up with a matching cropped jacket…
3. Revealing a small amount of midriff but polishing the look off with a fabulous oversized long coat that’s worn open of course.
4. Teamed with a pretty Chloe floaty chiffon blouse…
5. It’s still ok to wear a dress over your jeans…
6. With a purposeful cut out at the knee – nothing to do with grunge or distressed! Note the cropped jacket theme continues.
7. Worn with a bralet and distressed denim mini jacket. Check out the triple waistband…

11. Of all 17 looks this is the only one where the jeans have been cuffed shorter.

17. There’s something about this that reminds me of “puss in boots”, guess it is the combination of the boots and the interesting layering of these jeans.

Love love love this article! Your look is one of my favorites. I also like the cuffed long jeans – great for lower heeled shoes and making the jeans so versatile (multiple lengths). The puss ‘n boots made me laugh – cute look, hilarious comment. Love it all!
I like your look the best! I recently bought some barrel leg jeans after thinking they wouldn’t suit me for ages – it just goes to show that it’s always worth trying something new!

There were a few very interesting jeans for me in this post. Love the one with the three waistbands. But, also because it is on a dead gorgeous girl (which I am not).
A lot of the ways on how you can wear your jeans I have already implemented. As I invested heavily in jeans these past seasons.
If jeans are indeed the thing for the coming season, I am in luck.
