Thin, floaty wide leg pants have been a staple in Asia for years now. This Spring/Summer sees them as also becoming a European staple. So much so that it’s now time to have a couple of pairs in your wardrobe. You won’t regret it as they are super easy to style (read more about this further down), comfy and chic all in one.
A major trick with wide leg pants is that less is more!
Before taking pictures I had a play with belts and other accessories. Finally realising wide leg pants really look best when the outfit is left simple.
Today’s outfit post is taken from the new Spring collection currently available at LaTienda – it is certainly worth checking out her fabulous online store here for even more inspiration!

1 Pair of Wide Leg Pants: 3 Ways to Style Them
It is easy to shy away from wearing matching top and bottom when it comes to busy prints like this. Yet in actual fact 9 times out of 10 it looks cute together and the one combination you really can’t go wrong with.
In fact worn correctly this combination looks like a jumpsuit.
Make sure to do the tucking in just right so that the top appears floaty but still adding a little shape.
2. With a simple shirt
A simple shirt tied in the front breaks up the full patterned look adding a little chic of it’s own.
Tying the shirt in front means you don’t have to worry about it making the pants look extra bulky.
This is one of my personal favourite shopping in town outfits on a lovely warm day.
Also perfect when sightseeing in Asia (a little wishful travel thinking here – smile).
3. Worn with a shirt dress
This combination doesn’t just magically work. You have to carefully cinch the dress at the waist, opening up all other buttons. Then under the belt turn the sides a little apart to make sure the trousers are also visible.
Done correctly this is the one combination that really does turn heads. It is elegant and chic in one. The reactions from this look will be a great confidence booster I promise.
You could also wear a simple cropped t-shirt and the dress fully opened like a coat.
Wishing you lots of fun with your wide leg pants this Spring/Summer!

very nice love your blog and those diversions you can do with a pair of wide legged pants well done
Love this styling. Especially with the dress. I just bought a similar dress in black linen. I can totally do this.
