What the Italian’s say about Graphic T-shirts: Ageless Style Linkup

Hi Everyone,

Currently sitting in Sicily as I write this post so am full of Italian style inspiration.

As it’s the first Tuesday of the month let me introduce this months Linkup. This month the topic is graphic t-shirts. 10 ladies showcase their version of graphic t-shirts in their ageless style. It’s always exciting to see what each of them come up with. We never share photos beforehand so it’s a complete surprise to us all. I love the fact that we all come up with something so different and end up inspiring each other in new fashion directions. This month sadly Diane is no longer a part of the linkup but we have a lovely new member Jodie to take her place.

The linkup is at the end of this post so make sure you stay tuned 😉

First of all though lets read what the Italians have to say about graphic t-shirts!

What the Italian's say about Graphic T-shirts: Ageless Style Linkup

According to the Italians the most important thing about a printed t-shirt is that the message on it. I fell in love with this one whilst walking through Ortygia – Southern Sicily. Note cute ring from my dear friend Atelier McDaniel. Sunglasses are from a favourite NZ Designer Andrea Moore who ships internationally – a 10% discount code for you “funky10”. The Italians have all been asking me about these glasses!!!

The man in the boutique made me take this skirt with the top – according to him this is how Italian’s wear a graphic t-shirt! Both skirt and tee are from Shop Art.

A print screen from the current look book of the Italian brand Shop Art.

There will be a post dedicated to Sicily soon but for now here is where we ate dinner last nite – doesn’t get much more romantic than this I’m telling you. In the distance we could see the island Ortygia and the fascinating Mt Edna with it’s perpetual smoking peak.

Due to the heat I’ve taken to currently wearing the graphic t-shirt with a mini skirt from ba&sh. Photo taken in a little fishing village along the Southern coast of Sicily.

I really wished I had put my bikini into the car that morning…

The slides are from Zara and bag is Longchamp – believe it or not I used to use this as my nappy bag 17 years ago!

If this has inspired you to visit Sicily make sure to stay tuned for the travel post dedicated to Sicily soon!

  1. I just blught a T-shirt with “Au Secours” in sequins on it. No really a message but it is by Essentiel and that brand cannot do much wrong with me.
Your T-shirt is fun and I agree with the message! The skirt is lovely with it. Nice and shiny. We can do with some shine in our lives.

  2. Hi Yvonne,

I love the graphic tee with the long skirt and the sunglasses are great! Sicily is beautiful enjoy your vacation!

  3. Interesting that we both wear the graphic Tee with a sequin skirt! I didn’t know that this is the Italian way. I thought it is my way. Love all your looks to wear the graphic Tees! The one “You will never own me” is so cool! Great picks!

  4. I’m a huge fan of graphic tees! I love your tee and long skirt combination. Fabulous clutch and slides too! It looks absolutely beautiful in Sicily…somewhere I’ve yet to visit. My husband went years ago and said driving through Syracuse was one of the most nerve wracking experiences of his life!

    1. Haha have to laugh re your husbands experience in Syracuse – we got lost with the car in Noto and I tell you that was hair raising – the car almost didn’t fit, super steep roads and 90° corners…
      Thanks for the complements 😉

  5. You look so great Yvonne and I LOVE what you say about the Italians saying the message is the most important on graphic tee’s. It’s so true and I’m a huge fan of a fun graphic tee. Loving your latest summer posts and gave you a shout-out in my latest blog.

    1. Oh wow Daenel, what part of Italy did you live in?

I always dreamed of having a place in Como – right in the centre or somewhere with a view of the lake…
