How many times have you read advice about how long or short your shorts are meant to be after a certain age? Well forget all of that! Keep on reading to find out the real truth about the shorts you should be wearing for summer 2017!

As it’s the first Tuesday of the month let me introduce this months Linkup. This month the topic is of course shorts. 10 ladies showcase their version of shorts in their ageless style. It’s always exciting to see what each of them come up with. We never share photos beforehand so it’s a complete surprise to us all. I love the fact that we all come up with something so different and end up inspiring each other in new fashion directions.

The Real Truth about Shorts: Ageless Style Linkup

 

I’m going to charge right into this and tell you the real truth about the right shorts has nothing to do with length! It’s all about Style.

The trend for the right style of shorts has moved along from the very short ripped jeans style. Whilst you can still wear them they are last year! 2017 sees a whole new era of sophistication enter into the realm of shorts.

2017 Summer shorts need to have the following characteristics:

1. Higher waisted
2. The ability to be dressed either up or down – the shoes ad bag tell the direction
3. Many have a tie waist
4. Made out of fabric other than denim
5. (optional tip) Skorts are HOT

It’s basically up to your shoes and bag to decide where your shorts are going.
