Secret of the Super Spring Dress!

DSC_0520This picture probably says it all. Todays task from me to you all is to go to your wardrobes, select your favourite spring dress, put it on and look at yourself in front of the mirror. My promise to you is that you will find yourself smiling. It will make you feel happy for the rest of the day even if you have to take it off straight away as it may be a little too cold to wear today!

There are however a few criteria before a Spring dress can be classified as being “Special”:

1) Normally there will be a special memory associated to buying it.

2) It will be one of the pieces you paid a little more for.

3) The colours will be bright and cheerful.

4) You should feel comfortable wearing it both everyday and for a special occasion.

My rule of thumb for dress buying is that I treat myself to one “Special” dress each Spring. Over time your wardrobe will be filled with the most pretty dresses that you can wear any time and mix and match with loads of different things to get different looks.

The good thing about a well selected dress is that they don’t date and you will feel good in them for quite some time. The one I am wearing today is from Kate Spade and dare I say it – I bought it Spring of 2013! I have matched it with a simple denim jacket from H&M, a chunky silver necklace bought in Florence and my favourite Sofia Coppola bag (Christmas present a couple of years ago;-))

Here are a few cute dresses I have spotted online:
