Having started in 2000 in the Netherlands, the trendy mens suit shop “Suitsupply” have now opened a shop in Zurich. The concept of the Suitsupply is to cut out the middle man – going directly from factory to shop and thereby able to provide top quality suits at extremely reasonable prices. Suits start from CHF 349, Shoes, CHF 260 and Shirts from CHF 89 are just a few examples of their prices.
Personally think they have done a fab job with the design of their shop and it’s well worth a visit down Nüschellerstr, even if just to get a feel for the latest menswear trends.
The fabrics are sourced from the most prestigious mills in Northern Italy and production mostly takes place in the Far East. Suitsupply is a member of the Fair Wear Foundation (FWF) which promotes good working conditions in clothing factories.
Alterations to suits can be done on the spot whilst you wait and there are a few very comfy seating spots throughout the shop.
I had lunch with a couple of Swiss bankers today who had walked past the shop, thought it looked nice but decided it was way to trendy for the Banking world – I spent the rest of lunch trying to convince them to give Suitsupply a chance and am pretty sure they will after my persuasive pep talk 🙂
