How to Start the New Year with a New Look!

Welcome to 2016 everyone! Isn’t it wonderful to start the new year by doing something a little different? Well why not start by giving your wardrobe a fresh new look. Now is definitely the time to try – especially with all the lovely post Christmas sales!

5 easy ways to give any wardrobe a fresh new look without breaking the bank!

1) Break the Rules

Wear casual with dressy – one of my personal favourites is to wear my tuile skirt with white t-shirt, converse and a denim jacket. I love the way eclectic mixed styles at their fall 2015 fashion show:

2) Get a friend to go through your wardrobe and create new combinations.

Believe it or not friends – no matter how similar in taste they are to you – will nearly always be in a better position to suggest new ways of combining things than you yourself.

3) Check out the sales and buy one exclusive piece that can be worn both casual and dressy.

Love this Valentino skirt on sale – not cheap but can be worn dressy, or with sneakers and t-shirt. This type of skirt can even be converted into both winter or summer and being striped is right in there with what’s hot this coming summer!11134538_5551143_1000

4) Put a piece of your Summer wardrobe to your Winter things.

I love wearing summer dresses in winter by combining them with dark stockings and boots – a lesson I learnt from my then 4 year old.

5) Accessories!

It may be that same outfit but adding a hat or special necklace will seriously make a difference! Loving the hats currently available at Anthropologie!

That’s it for the first post this year – do hope it inspired you to try something new with your wardrobe. If you have any additional tips please do let me know!

Wishing you all a fab weekend!
