Doingย a little research on the meaning behind Pantone’s yearly colours it wasย interesting to discover last years colour green was to bring people away from materialism and back to nature. So fitting with a prevailingย trend of sustainability and a move away from excessive consumerism.
The Pantone 2018 colour of the year isย Ultra Violet. It is said toย “communicate originality, ingenuity, and visionary thinking that points us toward the future”. So excited to see what effect this will end up having on 2018!

Discoveringย this ultra violet skirt from Jigsaw in London seems to have been fate. It was only later I learnt that it was ย Pantone’s colour of the year. A huge thanks to my Mum for buying it as part of my Christmas present – smile!
Black is an easy match for any colour including Ultra violet. Then playing around with boots I decided these burgundy over the knee boots from Best Secret were the perfect match.
The Louis Vuitton bag is already 13 years old. I truly believe good bags are worth investing in and more importantly worth taking good care of!
The Gucci scarf is a Christmas present from my Hubby. Not a combination I would normally think of but when it comes to fashion it’s good to ย break boundaries.
I’ve already decided that when spring comes i’ll be teaming this skirt up with a white tee and sneakers.
