How to survive Paris Fashion Week in the Rain!

This time I was in Paris for the last 3 days of Fashion week and day one it poured down…not really street style picture compliant weather so what next?

FullSizeRender1) Go Talent Scouting

Most people just think of Fashion Shows and Street Style when they hear the words “Fashion Week” – but in reality it’s the perfect time to visit showrooms and discover talents.

The London Show Rooms was a great escape from the rain – favourite designers spotted:

Piers Atkinson

Famous for having worn as many hats as he has made, Piers launched his first collection of hats in 2008. His hats are available across the globe – perfect for making “that” statement!

Sibling

A London based label that started off as being men’s only in 2008 and has now branched out to include womenswear – I loved the plastic raincoat – see photo on right below  – wouldn’t that make anyone smile on a rainy day!

Ryan Lo

Originally from Hong Kong – Ryan has a super cute collection ready for Spring/ Summer 2016 – see pictures from show in London

2) Take time for a good lunch!

Palais Tokyo is very key to Paris Fashion Week – so many shows are held there or near there – but best of all it has the most brilliant restaurants. You can choose to eat at the cafe where you go up to the counter and get salads and sweets or choose to go into the Tokyo Eat where you get seated and served!

…and if you’re not on a fashionista budget, why not try Monsieur Bleu:

3) Visit Vendome Luxury

A word of warning – you need to get an invitation before they let you in (contact@vendomeluxury-paris.com), but both the location and gowns inside were simply breath taking!

Small sample of what I discovered:

Ballet collection by beautiful Romanian designer Dana Tanase

Fab Cinderella gowns by Gaby Charbachy from Lebanon

Beautiful in blue by Isabel Sanchis

Jean Fares Couture also from Lebanon

On that note – wishing you all a fab day and hoping I have given you enough fashion inspiration to ponder over 😉
