Discovery Alert – Most Comfortable Business Savvy Clothes

Hi there!

Power dressing is far more important than many people give credit to.

There’s an old saying “Dress for the job you want not the job you have” which is a really good quote to follow especially for any woman who wants to be taken seriously in the corporate world – in an environment where men are seen in suits it makes sense to play the same game.

Discovery Alert – Most Comfortable Business Savvy Clothes

The good news is that a suit no longer has to be uncomfortable. Recently I came across Winser London, specialising in great classic work wear pieces and decided to try out a few pieces…

These wide legged stretch crepe trousers are so comfortable I keep on having to do a double take to make sure I’m not in my pyjamas (smile) and at the same time they have a polished look, serious enough for any office!

I’ve teamed them here with an old blazer of mine but Winser London  also have a lovely crepe jacket – will try one of these next!

This gives you an idea of the top of the trousers – I really like the pocket details. The cream top is also Winser London and super soft. I could also imagine the trousers worn with a skinny polo neck jumper.

I added the Bally scarf for a pop of colour – great for travelling to and from work – or when travelling to protect from drafts.

When placing my order I chose a lovely double breasted knit jacket to go with the trousers and top. Sometimes we have a picture in our minds but when it arrives and we try it on it just doesn’t work together

…to be honest because I am relatively short the jacket was simply too bulky for the crepe trousers (maybe better on a taller person). All the same I really liked the look and feel of it so my hubby said I should team it with jeans which is exactly what I did.

The jacket is so lovely and warm – brilliant for the cold front that has reached us here in Zurich this week. Despite being knit it still has a lovely blazer look to it and I could imagine wearing it to the office with a pair of tapered trousers and lovely heels.

Here are a few other personal favourites currently available online at Winser London:

There are no affiliate links so I do not benefit from any purchases you make but did think this is a brand you should know about to give any wardrobe a comfortable business savvy edge.

I love this little introductory video showing the history behind the brand:

  1. The trousers are terrific. And so is your figure. My goodness what a flat stomach!!. I never had children and haven’t got a belly like yours.
The blouse with ruffles is cute but not pretty pretty cute if you know what I mean.

They also have SUPER SOFT and high quality Cashmere wraps in all kinds of colours. I have the Burgundy one and I’ve worn it so much already but it still looks brand new! Love your outfit 🙂

  3. I am Loving how you tied your coral scarf in the first look. Definitely considering how I can incorporate these looks into my wardrobe soon. Thanks so much for linking up with Fabulous Friday! Also, I am currently looking for co-hosts, so I hope you will consider the opportunity.
