The Little Black Dress tends to be the first thing that comes to most minds when deciding on what to wear for a special evening out. Black tends to be slimming making easy to find a style that suits you. As pretty as they may be a whole group of women wearing their LBD (Little Black Dress) does get boring! It’s time to try something new.
This post is about an outfit with a difference. Perfect for going out, great on almost any shape and dressy all in one.
Beyond the Little Black Dress for any Shape
Made out of super thin stretch fabric the tunic is perfect for Spring evenings. Teamed with these super comfy leather look trousers and strappy heels for the finishing touch.
Perfect for now as it covers pale legs and yet the trousers are so thin you don’t get too hot in them.
I decided to wear a t-shirt underneath but if you have a lovely trained brown tummy you could leave that out, adding a slightly sexy touch to the whole look.
This photo was taken at the EdenRoc Hotel in Ascona – certainly worth a visit even if it’s just to see the fabulous interior design by star interior designer Carlo Ramazzi. There seemed to be a different look around every corner.
The glory about this outfit is that it’s elegant and yet not figure hugging. Perfect for most shapes. In addition it can not crease making it the perfect travel outfit too.

Gorgeous tunic. But unless the average woman styles it astutely, she will look “baggy”.
Hi Elisabeth, thanks for your comment. I have to disagree with you though.
I gave this to a friend to try on and she simply popped it over her head – she is bustier than me and simply wore it over a shift dress of all things.
It still looked fab as the fabric has a certain weight which means it still flows down.
Actually the fabric is awesome, no creasing but sits fab!

Thanks Victoria, I really made a friend wear this (the top part) – she has a totally different shape – fuller and it also looked awesome on he.
Motto themselves team it up with fuller trousers which I think work nicer for a larger shape – but the skinny ones were perfect for me.
