Hi Everyone – nice to see you here!

In case you’ve been watching my instagram you’ll know that I’ve just spent 6 wonderful days in Dubai. Choosing the right hotel is a large part of any vacation in Dubai – and for me it needs beach access – the Palm is so awesome and such a lifetime experience I wouldn’t want any of you to ever miss it!

It’s my second time to Dubai – both staying on the palm but the Waldorf Astoria has seriously come tops on so many fronts.DSC_2057

All the same there are tips and tricks to take into account that will make your stay there even more special. This post is going to make sure you make the most of your stay here and if you don’t visit there are enough photos to make you really feel like you have…even  a tour of the Royal suite on the 6th floor so stay tuned at the end of this post for exclusive pictures of the most amazingly ostentatious suite ever – currently the largest in whole of Dubai!

7 Top Tips for Your Stay at Waldorf Astoria Dubai:

1. Booking

If you are booking during European summer season try booking online close to departure date for last minute deals. DSC_2034

2. View Options

One of the awesome things about this hotel is that all rooms have a view. More expensive views are of the Palm, other rooms have full ocean view.

3. Suite Upgrade

If there are more than 2 of you travelling it is most definitely worth paying a little extra for a suite – this comes top in our price/ benefit ratio!

4. Breakfast

The amazing buffet is open until 11am and food never runs out but we recommend you arrive before 10am as after that there was always a queue.

5. Pool

There are 2 main pools – one for everyone and one for those over 16 which is great for doing laps.DSC_2036

If you’re planning on spending the morning by the pool it pays to get there early and have one of the pool attendants reserve your favourite spot.

Don’t forget to try out some of the other fab water sport activities!

6. Restaurants

There are 6 of them – personal favourites are the Palm Avenue for a mid day burger snack – perfectly positioned in water you can simply have a walk in the water around your table should the heat get to you – smile!

However an absolute must is the signature restaurant Social with world renowned 3-star Michelin chef Heinz Beck. Awesome deals available to women dining there!

7. Getting around

We discovered it was actually cheaper to take a limousine driver from the hotel than a regular taxi!

Here is the number of my personal favourite driver – call for a pick up from the airport – a huge saving and service with a smile I promise!

Large lounge – this is also where eating takes place. All furniture is moved to the sides of the room, another mat is laid over the carpet for both food and people to sit on whilst eating.

The party room  – left and right are podiums for music and bar respectively. Date juice is drunk in replace of alcohol.
