5 Big Street Style Trends from Milan Fashion Week

Hi Everyone,

What an amazing few days this has been. Almost half way into Milan Fashion Week and sadly today is the day I go back to Zurich. I’ve almost been keeping a diary via Instagram stories so do hope you’ve been following these – smile!

This season the shows have really been amazing – have found myself in shows, wanting every single piece walking down that catwalk – will be posting these for you soon!

However now it’s time for a first mini summary of style trends!

5 Big Street Style Trends from Milan Fashion Week

1. Stripes

A definite trend that’s here to stay – stripes worn any which way. It’s time to take them all out of your wardrobe and try to combine them in new and wonderful ways, layering, draping over the shoulder or even worn back to front!

 

2. The Camel Coat

OK, so you are going to say to me you bought a camel coat a couple of years ago already – well good for you! The camel coat is here to stay, seen heaps in the streets these past few days as well as featuring large on the runways!

 

3. Glasses

This time even regular glasses were featuring on the runways – these tended to be large vintage type thin metal frames. However sunnies on the street were once again making a statement of their own with thick frames leading the way – round or that classic Ray Ban shape and you’re right on target!

The earring is Hermes and she was only wearing one!

 

4. Brightly Coloured Bags

This season is seeing a ton of brightly coloured bags being used as colour pops. If the bag itself isn’t coloured it should have either a colour feature on it or be adorned with a lovely thick colourful strap. The trick is to wear a bag that will stand out from outfit.

I haven’t seen a single pom pom attached to a bag yet – this trend is going OUT!

 

5. The Yellow accessory

Don’t underestimate the power of Yellow. We see it in the shops right now, it’s featuring on runways and a stunner as an accessory – everyone needs a pop of yellow for the next few seasons so it’s well worth a good investment!
