The idea of a wardrobe essential may seem subjective. A good definition is a matter of deduction based on what today’s top fashionistas are wearing more than anything else.

Fashion comes and fashion goes but right now more than ever I suddenly feel like I am being transformed back into the 80’s. The good thing is being able to remember wearing today’s essentials and knowing how to make them work. Looking forward to feeling 20 all over again…how about you?

3 Pre-Spring 2018 Wardrobe Essentials

1 The statement belt

Note more important than ever this is to be worn at waist level. Meant I had to invest in a new one as all other belts in my wardrobe were hipsters. Anyone else know the feeling?

Speaking brands – Hermes used to be the belt brand everyone needed however this has now been subsided by Gucci. Do note too to wear the Gucci belt teamed with another brand as bag – the all in one branded look is out for now!

 

2. Light coloured Stilettos

Actually I should have written white stilettos. Yes, we should all be wearing them. They are however a pet hate of mine so I am compromising with a very light suede pair of non-white stilettos.

I do love wearing lighter coloured shoes already now though. This way it’s easy to pretend it’s not really Winter anymore!

 

3. The Hoodie

You got it the hoodie is here big time. Wear it to every occasion. Not just casual. The hoodie can be dressed up under a blazer for added effect.

Also great for pairing up with pleated skirts. In this case though the hoodie should be somewhat more oversize.

Best of all you can wear your 3 pre-Spring essentials together creating the 2018 perfect pre-Spring look!
