20 Street Style Looks to Copy Milan Fashion Week

Milan Fashion Week Street Style

Hi Everyone,

Sitting in my hotel room in Milan as I write this. Street Style day 1 of the shows in Milan saw a new take on several trends. Prevailing shoe trends  were red and white. White trainers have in part been replaced with white kitten heeled booties or pumps. Red pumps being totally prevalent.

Red monochrome outfits are HOT for 2018. The sweatshirt or hoodie are the new bomber jacket. Coats remain long. Long coats with matching belts are the HOT trend. Colour being the name of the game. If you a not a colour person stick to camel.

High waisted boyfriend jeans are HOT. Bulky knits and lace – marry the two and you’ll be fine for Spring. Gucci stockings and colourful, bulky statement earrings are this season’s hottest accessories.

Something tells me Kermit green is going places. Dressing up trainer pants with long coats and stilettos is just as hot as wearing your pyjama out!

fun bonus…

fashionistas in the street causing traffic jams – the police escorting them off to allow Milano traffic through… note the photographers in the back trying desperately to get that one last pic.

  3. This was a fun and highly educational post. Thank you. I will get out my red gear. I already have a perfect Kermit green jacket (I always call it that as well). White boots ..? Check. Oh I am good to go.
Love the last picture with the police haha.
And I love the big black and white coat of the dark haired lady. Gosh what a stunner.
The outfit of the lady with the bob hair in the checked jacket with the Kermit green sock boots.. wow. Risky but fun.

  4. I got to your blog through jtouchofstyle and apocketfulofpolkadots. LOVE the photos in this post. Do you really see this fashion on the street? It’s amazing! I had thought of going to Milan for fall Fashion Week, but since I couldn’t get into the shows, it didn’t seem worth it. However if you see all this on the street, it would be so much fun!

    1. Thank you so much for your lovely comment dear. It is true in the bigger European cities you really do see this style on the streets sometimes.
